Excitement is mounting for the 2018 OVO Energy Tour of Britain which is coming to Rushcliffe  in this part of south Nottinghamshire for the first time.

Saturday, September 8th will see the start of Stage 7,  the penultimate stage of this year's tour leaving West Bridgford just a short distance from Trent Bridge Cricket Ground. The largest town in Rushcliffe with a vibrant cafe culture the cyclists will leave Central Avenue and head past Trent Bridge Cricket Ground and Nottingham Forest FC before heading out through the picturesque  villages of the Wolds countryside.

The 223 kilometre stage to the finish in Mansfield, is the third longest leg of the OVO Energy Tour of Britain since its return 14 years ago.

There will be plenty of support along the way as the communities of Ruddington, East Leake, Keyworth, Cotgrave, Radcliffe -on - Trent and Cropwell Bishop (yes the one of Stilton making fame) show their support for the OVO Energy Tour of Britain.
