Festive Fun Across the East Midlands

Posted on 6th November, 2019
Christmas is coming and over the coming weeks a wealth of Christmas markets, food fairs and special seasonal festivities, are all within easy reach of Hrempis Farm. Fortify yourself for the day ahead with a full English breakfast served in the dining room with a traditional open log fire then head off to explore the Christmas celebrations across the East Midlands.
Experience Nottingham’s Winter Wonderland  which has been voted by Vogue as the No 1 Christmas market in the UK. With an ice rink, ice bar , fairground rides and traditional European style Christmas market  it opens on November 15 and runs through until the end of January.
For those wanting to explore the European Christmas markets East Midlands Airport is just a ten mile drive from Hrempis Farm. Guests who want to jet off, are welcome to leave their cars safely at the farm and a reliable taxi service can be arranged from Rempstone to the airport.
Staying closer to home and there is a wealth of  other events to choose from.  The National Trust properties at Calke Abbey and Belton House have magical Christmas themed events and speciality food fairs.  The East Midlands is a foodies heaven and some of the best. The Melton Victorian Fayre is a wonderful extravaganza running from Friday, 29th November across the weekend.  https://www.meltonmowbraychristmasweekend.co.uk
The market towns of Loughborough, Oakham, Uppingham and Stamford all have their special events and of course Chatsworth, the estate that really launched Christmas themed opening events  has announced this year’s  theme of  a journey around the globe and Lands Far Far Away.
Even closer to home Belvoir Castle’s Christmas Extravaganza  is a not to be missed event - its setting really is a fairytale castle.
And when all the shopping is done, what better way to relax than  with tea sat by a roaring log fire at Hrempis Farm.
